Spaces

Find your tribe — community hubs organised around games, regions, or interests.

What are Spaces?

Spaces are community hubs where players gather to discuss games, share clips, organise matches, and build friendships. Think of a Space as a dedicated forum + social feed + chat room for a specific game, region, or topic.

Each Space has:

  • A feed of member posts, clips, and announcements
  • A real-time chat channel
  • A members list with roles
  • An events board for space-specific tournaments or meetups
  • Moderation tools for the space owner and moderators

Joining a Space

1

Browse spaces

Go to /spaces to see featured and recommended spaces. Search by game, region, or keyword.
2

View the space

Click a Space card to preview its feed, member count, and description before joining.
3

Join

Click Join Space. For public spaces, you're added instantly. For private spaces, you submit a join request that the owner must approve.
4

Engage

Once joined, the space appears in your sidebar for quick access. You'll receive notifications for new posts and announcements based on your notification preferences.

Creating a Space

1

Go to Create Space

Click Create Space on the Spaces page.
2

Fill in the basics

Enter the space name, a short tagline, a longer description, and upload a banner image and icon. Set the primary game(s) or topic.
3

Choose visibility

  • Public: Anyone can join and view the feed
  • Private: Only approved members can see content; others can see the Space's description but must request to join
4

Set community rules

Write your space's rules — what kind of content is welcome, expected behaviour, and consequences for violations. These are shown to members at join time.
5

Publish

Click Create Space. Share your space's link to attract founding members.

Posting in a Space

Inside any space you're a member of, click New Post to share:

  • Text post — Discussion, questions, or announcements
  • Image / clip — Screenshots, highlight clips, or memes
  • Poll — Ask your community a question with multiple-choice answers
  • Event announcement — Create an event post with a date and RSVP link

Posts support mentions (@username) and hashtags. Mentioned users receive notifications.

Reactions (like, hype, insane) let members respond quickly without a full comment. Comments support nested replies for deeper discussion.

Moderation

Space owners and moderators can:

  • Pin posts to the top of the feed
  • Delete posts or comments that violate rules
  • Mute a member (they can still see content but can't post for a set period)
  • Ban a member (permanently removes them and prevents re-joining)
  • Appoint or remove moderators
  • Review and act on member reports

To report a post, click the three-dot menu on any post and select Report. Reports go to the space moderators and, if serious, to Nitrade's trust & safety team.
